Being Known All the Way Through
"You have searched me, Lord, and you know me."
Psalm 139:1
Most of us spend a great deal of energy curating what others see. To be partly known and wholly loved is a fragile equation; we are always afraid the loved part will be revoked when the unknown part is exposed.
God does not love you the way other people love you. He has seen the part you are hiding. He saw it before you knew to hide it. And he stayed.
To be fully known and fully loved at the same time — this is the deep gladness Scripture offers. You can stop performing. He already saw, and he stayed.
Reflection question
What part of you are you still trying to hide from a God who has already seen and stayed?
