Weekly Rhythm
Seven days, gently shaped
Not a plan to keep up with. A shape to return to — one theme, one small practice and one verse for each day of the week.
Sunday
Gather
Rest without earning it. Read slowly, eat with someone, leave the work undone.
“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
Psalm 118:24
Monday
Begin
Name one thing you are carrying into the week, and hand it over before you start.
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.”
Proverbs 16:3
Tuesday
TodayAttend
Notice three small mercies today and write them down before you sleep.
“His mercies are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:23
Wednesday
Ask
Pray plainly for one person by name, and tell them you did.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find.”
Matthew 7:7
Thursday
Lament
Say the honest thing to God. No tidying it up first.
“How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever?”
Psalm 13:1
Friday
Release
Forgive one small thing. Put down one thing you cannot fix.
“Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.”
1 Peter 5:7
Saturday
Prepare
Slow the evening down. Tidy one corner, light a candle, read tomorrow's lamp early.
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
Psalm 46:10
The Sunday review
Four questions to close a week
- Where did I notice God this week, even faintly?
- What am I still carrying that I meant to put down?
- Who needs a word from me before Monday?
- What one thing would make next week gentler?
Answer them anywhere — or keep them in your journal.
