The Voice You Can Trust

"My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me."

John 10:27

There are many voices competing for your obedience: fear, comparison, the algorithm, the loudest person in the room. Most of them want something from you.

The Good Shepherd does not shout. He speaks the way a familiar voice speaks — with recognition, with patience, with no urgency to win.

Learning his voice takes time, and time mostly spent quietly with him. The sheep do not study the shepherd's voice; they grow up in it.

Reflection question

Whose voice has been loudest in your head this week, and is it his?
