Ordinary Grace

Most of God's gifts are not dramatic. They are warm bread, a friend's text, a clean morning, breath in your lungs, the shape of light on a familiar wall.

We so often wait for some larger sign that he is at work, that we miss the small, daily kindnesses already arriving. The whole table is already set.

Today, do not strain to see God in the extraordinary. Notice him in the ordinary. He has been there the whole time.
