Ordinary Saints
"Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life… and to work with your hands."
1 Thessalonians 4:11
Paul's ambition for the early church is striking: be quiet, mind your own affairs, work with your hands. This is the original Christian success.
Most saints will never be famous. Most faithfulness is unwitnessed by anyone but God. The dishes done in love, the email written kindly, the boring meeting attended with integrity — these are the textures of holiness.
You do not need a platform. You need a faithful Tuesday.
Reflection question
What ordinary part of your life could become holy ground today, simply by being done in love?
