When Your Faith Feels Small

"If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move."

Matthew 17:20

Jesus does not measure faith the way we do. We measure by volume; he measures by direction. A mustard seed is small — but it is alive, and it is pointed toward the soil.

If your faith today feels thin, almost embarrassed, that is not disqualifying. The question is not how much faith you have. It is what your faith is in.

A small faith in a great God moves mountains. A great faith in a small idea moves nothing.

Reflection question

What would change if you stopped measuring your faith and started trusting the One it's pointed at?
