The Shape of Rest

Rest in Scripture is not the absence of activity. It is the presence of trust. Sabbath was never about doing nothing; it was about doing nothing anxious.

Jesus does not offer rest as a reward for finishing. He offers it as a posture for the unfinished. You are invited to lay things down before they are done.

The shape of rest is small and stubborn: a closed laptop, a slow breath, a held hand, a 'not today.' These are not weakness. They are obedience.
