The Wilderness Is Not a Mistake

We tend to think the wilderness is a wrong turn. Scripture tells a different story: God himself leads people there, on purpose, to speak quietly to them.

The wilderness strips away what fed our pride and our distractions. Out there, his voice — once drowned out — finally has room.
